Complete Training Block Packages

The complete training block packages provide all the material required to help players master a particular pattern from start to finish, in all phases of play. These are not just collections of drills. They include statistics, video examples, tactical & technical teaching points, serve & return patterns, game situations, and yes, drills. One package provides enough content for approximately 16 weeks, and on top of that, you get access to any updates to the material for 2 years after purchase.

For an example, take a look at one of the four sections in the Attacking Skills package: Attacking Out of the Middle

The Baseline Packages

Control the Middle

Learn the details of one of the most fundamental skills in tennis. Contains video examples of controlling the middle on offence, defence, and neutral, as well as an in-depth look at the tactical and technical keys for success. Lastly, includes tips to integrate the serve and return and create game situations.

Win the Crosscourt

While it may seem basic, a lot can go on in a simple crosscourt exchange. Watch video examples of winning the crosscourt on offence, defence, and neutral, and take an in-depth look at the tactical and technical keys for success. Lastly, includes tips to integrate the serve and return and create game situations.

Change Direction

In the modern game, if you can't destabilize your opponent, you can't win. Watch video examples of how to change direction on offence, defence, and neutral, and take an in-depth look at the tactical and technical keys for success. Lastly, the package includes tips to integrate the serve and return and create game situations.

Open up the Court

Today's game is an all court game, and players must be able to use and play from every part of the court. While opening up the court is often the tactic of the counterpuncher or precision player, it is nonetheless an essential skill to have.

The Phase of Play Packages

Attacking Skills

The game has evolved, and anyone hoping to reach a high level has to be able to dictate play. Learn the nuances of the attacking game, from precision to power, out of the middle to out of the sides, and see how it all integrates with the serve and return and the transition to the net. Contains tactical & technical teaching points and drills, video examples, and more.

Rallying Skills

Even on the pro tours, between 20 and 40 percent of returns that are in play are rally balls. The ability to maintain the rally under various pressures and take control when presented with the opportunity is fundamental, no matter the age or level. The package presents a structured breakdown of all the skills with video examples, tactical & technical teaching points, drills, and more.

Defending Skills

As the international level of play continues to rise and fitness and nutrition become more and more important, defence is becoming more and more important. Broken into pure defence, neutralizing, and countering, this package provides an in-depth look at what makes great defenders so good, and how we can develop those skills. Contains tactical & technical teaching points, drills, videos, and more.

The Success Qualities Assessment Tool

It is relatively easy to measure and communicate the technical, tactical, physical, and mental skills required for a player to reach a certain level. What is harder, however, is developing the skills required to accelerate one's rate of learning. This document, an assessment that can be used both by players and coaches, is meant to be a first step in that process.
